Complete Procedures to Apply & Obtain SEBC , OBC , Residence & Income Certificates

All most every student needs these certificates once in a life to fulfill several requirements for employment purpose, scholarships, reservations etc. Presently it is very easy process to obtain these certificates because of arriving JANA SEVA KENDRAs in every single village. They are official registered centers to give these kind of services to needy students/applicants.

So, here in this article you can have a overall knowledge about the whole procedures from applying to obtaining the certificates. As there are different rules in different states it is your sole responsibility to confirm whether you are eligible or not.

SEBC(Socially and Educationally Backward Classes):-

Mainly applied for reservation purposes in State Level requirements. The official list of approved castes & sub-castes can be obtained from respective  official websites. (i.e. Differs from State to State)

Documents required for Applying SEBC Certificate:-

1. HSC (10th) Certificate
2. Aadhar Card
3. Passport Size Photo
4. RoR Copy
5. Self Declaration
6. Land Pass Book
7. Any other Document in Support/claim

Fees Required for Applying SEBC Certificate:-

1. Service Charges of the Kiosk Operator per Unit  = 18.00
2. Printing Charges per unit                                        = 10.00
3. Scanning Charges per unit                                       = 5.00
4. The Government fees per unit                                 = 30.00
5. Degs Charges fees per unit                                       = 2.00

OBC(Other Backward Classes):-

Very important document for reservation purpose. There are two types of OBC Castes. One for Non-Creamy Layer and another for Creamy Layer.

Residence Certificate:-

It is mainly required for proof of permanent address which is often

Income Certificate:-

Students are often asked for this certificate for verification of  Family Income from all sources while applying for any scholarship.   

Documents required for Applying IncomeCertificate:- 

1. HSC (10th) Certificate
2. Aadhar Card
3. Passport Size Photo
4. RoR Copy
5. Self Declaration
6. Land Pass Book
7. Any other Document in Support/claim
8. Father's/Mother's Address Proof if there is no income sources for the applicant.

Delivery Time Lines: Estimated Timelines To Process The Application (Expected Date of Delivery)

                                     (Minimum of 7 to 15 days required if all supporting documents are attached                                         properly with the application)

Obtaining the Certificates:

1. Applicants can obtain these certificates by hand from Jana Seva Kendas.
2. Digitally certified certificates can also be sent through emails (if applicant is staying outside of his residence).

Validity of these Certificates:

1. OBC (Generally 3 years from Issuance date) [may be differ]
2. Income & Residence Certificate (Six months)
